The LCS, the Instituto Nacional de las Personas Adultas Mayores (INAPAM) and the Instituto Nacional de Migracion (INM) are teaming up to guide the LCS membership and the expat community at large in getting through important and often cumbersome government accreditation procedures. 

Foreign residents of Mexico are eligible to join the Pensionado (Senior Discount) program in Mexico after reaching age 60. Discounts (5% to 50%) on a whole range of goods and services including food, medicines, transport, clothing, as well as recreation and leisure activities are available.  There are also many services free for people in the program. 

Periodically, officials from INAPAM,  the National Institute for Senior Citizens,  the INM immigration agency, and representatives of the Canadian and United States consulates  will appear at special members-only meetings at the LCS campus to assist in processing enrollment in the program.

To get your INAPAM card, you will need: 

• Two copies of proof of address. You can take an electric or phone bill with your address on it. If you are renting, you can use a copy of your lease as proof of address.  Must be a current utility bill. 
  
• Four photographs--infantile (very small) You can get them immediately at various photo shops at Lakeside.
  
• Two copies of your passport. 
  
• Two copies of your Residente Temporal or Residente Permanente, front and back cover.
• An emergency contact name and phone number (land line).
• Your blood type.
• Original and one copy of your CURP card.
