You can make a difference in the local Mexican community
You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your membership dues will help support the many free LCS programs offered to the local Mexican community.

You can stay as busy as you like with special, members-only activities 
LCS offers members a dynamic, wide-ranging variety of activities from fitness programs, games, Spanish classes, educational programs, technology help, and much more.

You can enroll in LCS-developed adult Spanish classes
LCS members can have fun learning Spanish with fellow expats. Classes, ranging from beginners to advanced, are taught by a bilingual Spanish speaking instructor.  

You can apply for and receive your senior discount INAPAM card
Person who are aged 60+, and who have Permanent or Temporary Resident status, are eligible to apply to Mexico's Instituto Nacional de las Personas Adultas Mayores (INAPAM) to participate in a program that provides many privileges and discounts to seniors. Details about this program are available here. The application form can be acquired at the LCS office, and our staff can advise you how to make application.

You have exclusive use of the LCS English Language Library
Members have access to over 26,000 volumes ranging from contemporary best-sellers to standard reference works.

You can rent DVDs and videos 
A  collection of more than 4,000 titles  including classics, recent releases, foreign movies, TV series and documentaries are available to members.   

You can browse the Audio Books Library
For those long road trips, members can select  CDs or tapes  from an array of popular authors to the obscure.

You can access free WiFi on campus
As a member you can make use of the free WiFi on campus and will be provided with access to the internet.

Your contact information will be included in the LCS Membership Directory
Updated annually, and free to members, the LCS Membership Directory is a source of valuable information including important local telephone numbers, long-distance dialing instructions, Embassy and Consulate contact information, the Yellow Pages, and much more.

You will receive Conecciones, the LCS Monthly Magazine
As an LCS member, our monthly magazine “Conecciones” will be made available to you via e-mail at the beginning of each month.

You can take advantage of mail service to the United States
Volunteer LCS members traveling north will drop your letters and cards in a mail box in the United States.  The LCS Service Desk has U.S. postage stamps for sale.

You can take advantage of discounts offered by community businesses
LCS Business Sponsors and many local vendors offer discounts on goods and services exclusively to LCS Members.

General Membership Information:

• An LCS membership applies to a single individual. Each individual who purchases a NEW membership will receive a photo ID card with a unique membership number. Renewing members continue to use their current ID card.
• NEW LCS memberships are available any time of the year. The membership privileges begin on the date of enrollment and terminate 365 days later.
• All active LCS memberships may be renewed on-line for a period of one year, expiring on the anniversary of the initial membership. Renewal can occur anytime prior to expiration. Purchase of multiple renewal years at current rates is permitted.
• Use the button below to purchase a new membership or renew your current membership online, or visit the LCS office to handle the details in person.

Membership Rates:

• All membership fees are based upon the fee schedule in effect on the date of purchase or renewal.
• Single membership or renewal purchased in 2023 - $1,000 MXN / membership year.
• Single membership or renewal for persons age 79 and over purchased in 2023 - $700 MXN / membership year.
• Additional costs: There is an administrative setup fee of $100 MXN applied to all new memberships – this fee does not apply to membership renewals.
  In addition, all memberships purchased on-line are subject to a 7% surcharge to cover processing and foreign exchange fees.

Short-Term Monthly Membership:  For individuals visiting lakeside for a limited time, or those wishing to take advantage of a Members-Only seminar, LCS offers a Monthly Membership at $320 MXN per month, per person.

A monthly Membership does NOT include:

• Voting rights
  
• Inclusion in the annual LCS Membership Directory
  
NOTE: use of the LCS English Language Library, Video Rental Library, and Audio Library requires a $500 MXN refundable deposit when using a monthly membership.

Student memberships are available at $60 MXN per year but cannot be purchased on-line. Students must present proof of school registration at the LCS Office.
